Some claim defense questions

Postby Darkside » Tue Mar 12, 2013 8:43 pm

I am going to soon need to setup defenses and realize I have some confusion from my research

The wiki says braziers are activated after 3 crimes and the example is they said an invader can waste two wall sections before it is activated. IS that still true? I thought I read one of the updates that it now activates on first crime?

What crimes activate a brazier and what does not? For example can someone trespass and rummage without larceny and the braziers dont activate? Can they attack me on my claim and the brazier wont activate?

How is the balance of defense vs offense in the current state of the game? Like are there elite characters who are so pumped of bile that it would take ridiculous effort in wall and brazier building to be able to properly defend yourself from them?

It's not still true. Braziers activate on the first waste crime, so the moment someone hits your wall, they start getting shot at.

Walls recently got a major buff and braziers got two major buffs, so raiding is very difficult for most people. My opinion is that raiding is broken and needs a complete overhaul, but defense has the advantage right now. Proper defense does NOT mean a ridiculous effort of walls and brazers. A couple walls spaced out, maybe with fields between them, and braziers every few spaces will keep away most groups and pretty much anyone working alone, no matter what their humors.
