If you logout in the option menu you log out directly, if you close the client its not always the same.

Once youre in combat don't close the client since you will stay online, just run then and find a house/mine and when you're inside logout directly.

To aviod dead don't commit any crimes and always logout for a while when you see a player nearby.

Very good video, but I have another question now. Do sharing kin or HS can provide to someone information where is our hideout?

This is what I do.

1: Be very paranoid and trust absolutely no one outside Boston.
2: Use enders client and run away from every player that shows up on your minimap
3: Have at least one easy to reach key bound to a macro that types out ":act lo". This will safely log you out.

If you have a claimstone, and give them a HS, yes, they can spawn a character at your place and follow it.

on the other hand: just kinning someone by meeting them in person (without sharing a HS, or even better - not having one set) has no disadvantage (apart from them able to recognize you from then on).
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Locksmithing is required, but once you get it, locks are quite inexpensive. You'd think they'd need to be made out of iron, but no! All it takes are simple rocks to craft your locks and keys and even the keyring.

Although "slave keys" can only be used by the person they are bound to, if somebody gets a hold of a Master Key, they can make slave copies for themselves, thus compromising your security. Keep your master keys in a safe place, otherwise your homestead is doooomed if you get mugged.
