Exact time of seed growth.

Postby gacekssj4 » Thu Feb 14, 2013 7:20 pm

Hello,

I'm looking information about exact (in hours or minutes) times of growth of: cabbage, cereal, pumpkin, cotton.

Salem wiki states about charcoal
It takes 3 real life days to burn (56 hours), after which it leaves

3 Real life days are 72 hours. So dont belive statement 5 days etc on fields.

Also, if I speed up time with fertilizer. to 200%, time is divided by 2, Is it half of whole time, or remaining time halves?

Searched forums but couldnt find.

Agriculture wiki page: http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Agriculture

According to wiki with no speed boosts:
Cabbage 3 days, Cereal 3 days, cotton 4 days, corn 3+ days, pumpkin 9 days (that would be to full maturation)

As for speed boosts, I believe the boosts starts from when you added the fertilizer, so if you got 200% right after planting it should be half the time, whereas if you brought it to 200% later it would start from the remaining time. That needs to be confirmed, but I believe that's the way it works.

Thank you for reply, But see what I wrote earlier. I read Wiki. However I dont trust 3 days. So that means Cabbage grows 72 hours exacly? (charcoal burns 3 days... but exacly it burns 56 hours - which is not 3 days but less than 3 days).

So if any1 knows much appreaciated.

Feel free to come up with exact times on this. We, the players have developed the wiki on our own with very little information from the devs. This is why it's "unofficial". It may be inaccurate at times, and we do our best to try to keep it up to date.

I think pumpkin is 7/8 days , 9 just seems far too long from what I can remember.

OK, thank you for answers. Just thought someone knows exact times.

I think thats the fun part. That community discovers things on its own :P

Cabbage and grain is 72 hours. Cotton 96 hours, and it is also 96 hours to get to stage one of pumpkin (babybear ect.)

The time gets cut from the base time, so for example, a pumpkin field at 160% will be able to be harvested in 60 hours (babybears -I do not know how long for stage 2, still turning and burning for purity).

Basic calculation is base time/(%increase/100)

so for the example above it is 96/1.6 (96 hours base time, 160%/100 = 1.6).

edit: ohh I think I misunderstood the original question, I fertilize immediately after planting, so I really do not know for sure , but it seems that if you delayed fertilizing then the boost will only effect the time remaining. At least that is the assumption I have been working under. If you find out otherwise let me know, my crops are on a schedule so I am not going to test that one out.
