How can a friend of mine travel to my homestead?

So I want to have a friend of mine come to my homestead. But as it seems he isn't able to ask a guide for that with the homestead secret. Is it because he has a homestead himself? What can we do now? Does he have to walk for hours to reach it? We have the silver to pay for the guide.

This is only possible if your friend still has the 'Call of the Wild' buff. (located in the top left of the screen). He's already used it if he spoke to the guide initially and took the free wilderness spawn. He will have to walk to your homestead instead or;

If its a new character with only a few basic skills then I recommend your friend make a new character if he really doesn't want to walk.
