Hay as Fertilizer

What exactly does it mean when the Wiki says that hay raises Influence (Crop). If you use enough Hay will it bypass the fields influence and force the crop itself to become higher tier?

I think Dallane misunderstood the question.

There's no reason for that "(Crop)" thing to be there, or for hay to be singled out in the table. Hay just raises the influence % like any other influence affecting fertilizer.

I just edited it out to avoid further confusion of this sort.

I don't comment much on forums, but I would like to say I am grateful for your edit to the Wiki.

I have always been thrown a loop when seeing the (crop) portion, thinking that the hay from crops was different in some way than that which you collect manually from grass. Or maybe (insert speculations X, Y and Z)...
