I walked off to the wild and I lost my leanto is there a way to get back still keeping my inventory at the same time?

Is there anything in your leanto you need? If not, get the skill hiking and make a new leanto in a good location.

Well there really isn't anything important but I have been working on the area like leveling it out and making some things.

Then use the stuff in the inventory if you can or drop it if you really cant find your way if you have to find the leanto.

In other words if your inventory is empty then you can teleport back home. (Adventure> Travel> Home)
