right now I have 3 keys, they all just say "key" and look the same... luckily I had put the master equipped on the character, so I know what is it... how do you recognize them?

right click on them and you can name then. I strongly suggest that you hide the master and make slave keys for use.

you will have to destroy the door i think. not sure if you can put a different lock on there.

you can make the same lock for 1 key

So, unless you really need multiple security options for different characters. Just make a single Key for your claim, attune all your locks to it before applying them to gates and chests, make slave copies of key for everyone who needs access, and put the original key on an alt for safe keeping (it may also be good to make a master copy of key to attune to that alt).

You can replace locks on gates. You have to be holding the masterkey for the original lock to be able to place a new lock on it. If you placed the lock without attuning a key to it, you might be SOL. Get that phlegm up and destroy it.
