Any way to group other then being next to person?

Is there a way to form a group with another player via a command?

Only way I've found grouping to work was when in town and right clicking / selecting invite option.

Also do you need to be in close prox in order to group?

The buddy/kin list is broken until the next server restart. Once it is fixed, you can right click their name in your buddy list for the interaction menu.
