i meant the actual crafting of it, it doesn't seem to recognize the shellfish part of the ingredient.

This is a problem with ALL Shellfish recipes not just the bajgiels right?

crab cakes, crusted crawdad, fried oysters, peppered medley, roasted crab meat seem to work - the rest does not

Indeed, The problem seems to be that I broke the "Any Shellfish" category in the last patch. Will be fixed on next restart. Sorry.
