You saying its true without providing facts is very deceitfull.
If it was a secret you would kept it a secret, you would not go on the forum boasting how you know a recipe but you dont want to share.
On the other note, if you knew that recipe, you would probably corner the market with buying ore for 200 and more silver.
Since you are not doing that any person would realize that you are full of **** and just spreading missinformation to new players.

There actually is a "recipe" to do what he claims. Retri found a very reliable way but I remember JC saying that he was close but not exact on how to do it. I don't think he had much of a alloy set at the time either. It's easy to figure out once you play around with the system.

At which point in the process does the game check the bonus to alloying? When you load the smelter? When you light it? When you remove the bars when done? Thanks in advance!

The most I ever get in a run is 3 bars and thats the normal amount for every 4th run of the smelter. How high does the alloying set have to be to see an increase?
