Loading the sawbuck

I recently built a sawbuck. The wiki states to pick up a wood block and right click the sawbuck. I have the Carpentry skill , and have a stone saw readied in hand. I click a woodblock in my inventory, and right click the sawbuck and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong ?

You need a log, not a block.

You can't use a rotten log, either.
