Stockbin not working?

I created my first stockbin, but i can't seem to add anything into it. I've tried putting board, charcoal, and lime. I've tried left clicking, shift+left click, shift + alt+left click... I have Ender's client.

I am using Latikai, but the stock bin should operate the same.

Left-Click an item in inventory then hover over the stock bin window and left-click to place the item in.
You can also place mouse pointer over stock bin window and use Shift+Scroll to move items in and out of stock bin and inventory.

Be careful with boards. The stock bin allows you to mix all board types in one bin.

The stockbin type must be set manually, i.e. by taking the first item on your mouse and clicking it on your stockbin. After that, you can scroll items in.
Keep in mind that the stockbins are in general restricted to various types of stones,bricks, planks, and cotton cloth.

oh so you have to left click onto the window. I was trying to do that onto the bin itself.

This is wrong. An empty stock bin can be filled by shift+scroll with the last item placed in your inventory that can be binned.

He probably meant, to use SHIFT-ALT-Click to auto-fill it, iirc that needs the type set, which can be done by placing (at least) ONE item in it manually or whith SHIFT-scroll.
