your on popham in those screenshots, you will probably want to play on providence to get your bearings as popham is the temp server and due to close soon, providence is the permanent server.

Bees only affect fruit trees, so don't worry about them for fields or anything. Bees, including workers, will die off if you check the hive too often so don't look in it more than once a day or so. If you want to keep that hive healthy, you'll need to get a queen in there.

Islands aren't set up to be very common. There's really no advantage to building on one, but a lot of disadvantages since you can't level well near water and sand.

Load means nothing to the players and has little relation to how many people are online. The previous owners of this game, Jorb and Loftar, set up that load indicator for their own purposes and John decided to keep it. It won't actually tell you anything useful.

Firearms are not good for hunting, they're set up to be used in PvP. A few players with guns can make a pretty bad day for almost anyone. Drinking tea can refill humors in combat, though not if you have a crime debuff.

Cannons are only in Popham and are mostly for advanced raiding stuff. It's something you'll want to look into later.

Yes, you can build a sort of bridge over water with a lilypad. I believe you right click them on the water, though I never actually built one myself, so it's hard to remember now.

There are quite a few witches in Popham and several of them are active.

Archibald wrote:What about hunting. I assume fire weapons are not that practical after all (But I'll get one anyway since it's my right to bear arms, if you don't like it come and take it). Let's say I want to start hunting beavers, should I use club, sabre, slingshot or what? How about combat situation player vs player? Any way, is there a way to refill humours during combat? Especially Blood and Yellow bile

Guns are practical in that they do a ton of damage to animals. Against players, you will only see a significant amount of damage to characters with a lot of blood, as guns do percentage based damage to players. The upside against players is the "snared" debuff, which cuts their speed. Don't waste shots on beaver or lower though. You can only refill the yellow bar with "regain composure." I think that's it though, might be wrong. Try to get your yellow humor up to about 45. You can kill beaver before that point, but at 45 you can bullrun them, then stomp twice and they go down.

In all things combat though, there are plenty of players around here who would know better than me.
