Fine Leather

Hello,

I've been having some issues with making fine leather. So far I've used 160l of 50% rose-tinted tanning fluid but only got 8 fine leather (and 8 normal leather). I was under the assumption that 10l of 50% rose-tinted tanning fluid was meant to be a guaranteed fine leather so can anyone show me what I'm doing wrong?

Here is how I make fine leather:
1. put 1l of otto rose into 10l vegetable oil
2. make limed hide
3. put limed hide and 50% rose-tinted tanning fluid in tub and wait 8 hours
4. only achieve 50% success qq

So is it only meant to be a 50% chance or am I doing something wrong?

I have not tried in a few weeks, but whenever I used 1L rose otto per 10L oil I got either 1 fyne leather or a ooze, never a normal leather.
Are you sure there was not already rose tanning solution in the tub, and the total % was lower?

Yeah, I made 100% sure the second time that I was doing everything perfectly so I'm pretty certain I did everything right. Next time I'm going to try it with brand new tanning tubs but I don't see why I would have to, but I'm all out of ideas.

Meh wants the piglet! But they say no sense to go to Popham now so I'm looking forward for the next expedition, hope to find some nice mastahs there and become the padawan
