So try this: stand in front of him, clickly "send home", then "push" him as fast as you can. That will shove him away from the center of the leanto (otherwise he's in the way), so you can smash it and send him to town. After that his crime buff will kick in and wear off as usual. He'll have to walk home and may try poisoning your cheerios as revenge, but at least he'll be out of the KO loop.
