Yeahhh... From his use of the word "foraging" it makes me think it applies only to ground spawns (and, presumably, the "Rummaging" action cause that would be weird if it didn't) but doesn't really matter that much since finding good stuff in stumps/logs is super rare anyways.

it only applies to items you pick up from the ground - I haven't even seen it affecting anything else whatsoever. I have a couple of random characters with 100+ rummaging (10%+ chance of it proccing, so should be seeing it quite often) but I only ever see double items from picking up straight from the ground (and then only when you have to flowermenu-"pick" them).

Well that is strange from what I remember. I seem to remember getting doubles from feathers in stumps. I used to pay a lot of attention to it when very new to game and looking for feathers and trying to hit a specific target to buy something from Prov.

I threw away my rummaging clothes when I read the actual formula for getting the bonus. I decided it wasn't worth it going out and about without defence skills for the chance of getting a bonus item every now and again. I suppose I could have kept them though and go foraging with a alt. But I do remember thinking the rummaging was rubbish.
