Postby Antmf » Wed Mar 23, 2016 3:18 pm

Hey guys, anyway to put tinder in other then clicking each branch and dragging and clicking on fire 1 at a time? Is there a key combo that I can use to do a few at a time?

you can hold "Shift" while clicking the first item in and it will automatically bring the next item from your inventory. Be careful in some cases, IE you are putting logs in something and have a singing old log in your inventory, the system will still grab that old log and load it into the fire with no complaints.

More specifically, it will bring up the next most recently placed item in your inventory. So if you transfer the following items:

branch, broken bough

in that order, then pick up a log and shift-right click it onto the fire, it will bring up the broken bough, then the branch (reverse order, kind of).

Also note that it only draws from your inventory, not your backpack, so you can use your backpack to keep valuable items (like old singing logs) safe. Also, the backpack is useful for "queuing up" items, so to speak, by shift-click transfering all branches to your backpack and then shift-clicking them all back. Then all the branches (or at least all the ones that could fit in your backpack) will be next in line (the same last-placed system applies for almost everything in salem that draws from something in your inventory).

And the shift-right-click shortcut describe works for everything that you can shift-right-click something into (compost, turkey coops, coal into smelters, stoves, fireplaces, etc)
