im doing a major terra forming project, and I find the steel shovel really helps, now what about soil artifacts? do they really increase speed?

As far as I know it doesn't speed up the "tick" time or or increase the "tick" % but it inreases the amount of dirt picked up per tick so yes it basically increases dig speed
