A dark hunting trip

Postby saltmummy » Fri Mar 04, 2016 7:09 am

I've gotten accustomed to the combat system and do a great deal of hunting, even a few march hares. Been awhile since I've been knocked out by an animal and I feel ballsy. I would like to take a hunting trip to the dark, for the first time, to go after argopelters. Does anybody have any tips for going after them? Maybe a recommended minimum of humors? Thanks for any advice.

In the darkness one does not hunt Argopelters. Argopelters hunt you.

50 humors should be ok if you know what you're doing but because you don't 100 humors should be fine.

Bring the argo to an area without much trees, or a clearing in the forest.
The idea is to move enough away from the argo so he's forced to follow you across the clearing, targeting a tree on the other side, that's where you run to him, hit once and move away.
Has a beginner use a Halberd. Later when you get more experienced you'll be able to move forward his path and thrust.

Don't be impatient, run to the argo for a hit only if you got the time to do so before he reaches the next tree.
Remember that if you Run in straight line away from the argo then the branches can't reach you. If you get stunned a Jump will help you to get out some stun loop.

As JC said, you let the argo hunt you, but you decide which tree he's targeting.

As the guy said they are easy pray since you are accustomed to hunting you should have no problems hunting them or even wishpooshes.

Thanks for the advice guys, here's hoping I don't run into anything I'm not prepared for... which I probably will.

I want a video of someone using a halberd to hunt argos, just so i can dub it to the benny hill theme song  use latikai's client, turn on "show gob paths" follow lan's advice, and when you see the green line lead to a tree, get in the way and when he gets close, stab him in the face like he owes you money
