Maximum carried weight not constant

Postby Chimm » Mon Feb 08, 2016 11:49 am

Again a newbie question: My maximum carried weight is not stable. I learned Collector, so I thought it has to be 15 now.

But depending on whatever reasons it varies around sessions. Today it was about 16.5, normally it is a bit over 15.

What influences this?
- Newly gathered stuff? That seems to happen, but would not make real sense.
- Beginner food eaten (I eat normally Berries-on-a-Straw).
- ...

Leveling Yellow Bile will also increase your carry weight limit before becoming encumbered.

That may be it! So leveling Yellow Bile will have a constant effect on my carry weight limit?

Correct. You also can increase it for a short period of time by drinking raw egg yolks and honey.

YB increases carrying weight, BB increases inspiration/s and max inspiration.

Both will give you a good boost for the first few hundred humors, but each point you gain will give (a tiny ammount) less than the one before.

more specifically, your max weight is the square-root function of your yellow bile (not counting bonuses from skills such as packrat and the like).
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Also not counting the base 10kg (and base 5 YB ?!) that you have. ;)

[edit:] You happen to know the exact formula...?
