i know how tending works but have never done so more than to test it either, i do not even lower the upkeep on my fields to the standard 50% since it is another "thing" to do and id rather just use a few extra seeds and a full load of humus. i must suck as well.

Sorry for spilling the secrets here, but if you want to raise field % further than the seeds you just bought can get you, upkeep is very much important.

That is true, and it is very efficient to use cabbage for this purpose, unfortunately the use of huge loads of cabbage every day is limited, you will likely get a lot more than you need, so I prefer using cotton instead, slightly more work, but that extra silver adds up.
[edit:] And I also decided to not use cabbage for this, as you will need to wait for the seedstalks to turn into seeds, which makes cabbage much slower than cereals/corn, or even cotton for this purpose, not so much at high % but moreso on low/med % levels.

yeah, but I liked cabbage to grind my purity up to bought seeds; simply because the extra cabbage (indeed, much more than I ever needed) just went straight into the compost bins.

Hunting 1 Deer fills 2-3 compost bins. 2 Slabs itself is 48/100 of the compost bin.
