how do I give one of my Alts a key to my compound gates, I am fine giving one to another players Alts but cant seem to give a key to one of mine.
yes I have googled searched and wikied but none of them seam to answer the question or I am really working too many hours and need sleep.

Have you attuned it to your alt? Find a way for your alt to persist in the world (log out with no homestead) and then attune the key to him before giving.

To attune take your key and "use" it on your alt, similarly on how you fill a campfire with wood or plant flowers in a gardening pot.

you can also attune a master copy of the key to a friend and then ask your friend to attune the key to your alt.
