How can my friend get to where i live?

How can my friend spawn with me? It's been a while since i played this game and a lot has changed.

You can make a map in your account and name it. Then go to Boston and give the map to your friend. Then have your friend go to the dudes by the wagon and they can use the map to port your friend to you. You can only do this once per toon
