Keys

Postby wizcas » Mon Nov 19, 2012 2:55 pm

Heya :)

A just crafted a lock and a master key - associate the two and crafted the lock in the gate. Now I want my alt to have a key for that fence as well. So I made a Master Copy of a Key with the key I made before. I transfered it to my alt - but the key is red and can't be used.

How does this work?

Left click key with your main, right click your alt with the key to assign it to him.

Select the key with your main, and right click with it on your alt. This will attune the key to your alt.
If your alt is on the same account as your main then in order to have both online at the same time do this:
1) get your alt off your main's claim
2) log onto main and remove all permissions from your alt
3) log into alt, turn criminal acts on, step on the claim to get criminal debuff, get away from the claim
4) log into main, your alt should still be in game thanks to criminal debuff. Attune the key, return permissions to your alt.
5) Before going back on claim your alt must wait for criminal debuff to fade. You don't have to wait on your alt though, buff will fade regardless whether this character is on or off

No, you don't. You can enter someone's claim without any skills.

Tresspassing skill allows you to open containers and examine stuff on someone's claim

Can't - when I try to step on the claim, I'm not allowed to. He just doesn't step on the terrain.

If you turn criminal acts on and try to step on someone's claim, at first you will stop with this error. But that's just a warning. If you order your character to move again then it will, and criminal debuff will be applied. It's like that everytime you try to enter someone's claim. So just try to walk in twice and it should work
