Uploading image

Hello

I used to work on another wiki and I have a nice picture of a walnut tree wich is missing in the page of the trees. I tried to upload it but I always receive this message : File extension ".png" does not match the detected MIME type of the file (image/jpeg). I tried with the png and with the jpeg type but no result. Could you explain how to do it ? Thanks.

May be I am in the wrong section so feel free to move it in another part of this forum.

Do you mean the salemwiki.info where you want to upload the image?

where the file of the walnut tree is in red. I have followed this link (File:Walnut Tree.png) and tried to upload my image, first with the png then with the jpeg file.

Ahh maybe its your picture.

The message "File extension ".png" does not match the detected MIME type of the file (image/jpeg)." means that your extension .png and this information which is in file-header does not matched together.
Can you open the picture on your PC and maybe export it to .png?
I mean not rename, but import from Viewer to the proper name.

Try it.
If it not work, maybe you can PM me and we find another solution.

Thank you for your advice : I finally succeed to upload but it was late and I was tired : I made an error. The file is registred as the plum tree and not as the walnut tree and the picture is bigger than the others of the page. Could you move it at the good place or explain how to do it ? very sorry for that.

Norelieth, can you take the Picture in a better resolution?
Save it in a bigger version of it and then crop it to 250 × 400 Pixel.

Have the old one removed from Plum, have it a little bit scaled and uploaded to the walnut tree.
You can easily upload a new version then if you have a better resolution of the pic.
