Why is it that some players can see a lot of grass in the training part, and some players omly see some?

The guide will give you a few choices so you should be able to get a fair one to start. Once you get Settling, you can build a Leanto from the build menu. Right click on the finished leanto and press 'Homestead' to make it your new home.

Once you stake a claim, you can open the Pclaim stone with right click and find a checkbox that says 'Make Homestead' and change your homestead to there with that.
