Tree stump - uprooting

I read, or heard somewhere that it is possible to uproot a tree stump making it disappear and obtain few woodblocks. Unfortunately for me it doesn't work. Had a shovel in a hand, tried with an axe. No opion for it to appear. What do I do wrong?

Side question. Is it possible to uproot a hollow stump? It seems logical, but is it possible?

There is not a flower menu option to "Uproot" a stump like there is for bushes.

Use the Destroy command found in the Adventure Menu. You can destroy regular and hollow stumps this way and retrieve several wood blocks from the action. The shovel does the job best.
