Can't start it

Hey!

I am clicking on the luancher but nothing happening..
What is wrong?

When starting the game with the Original Client you should click "Launch the Client" Make sure you have java installed or you will not be able to play Salem.

Once clicked, it will download the client updater for you in your downloads on your browser. Double clicking that will present you with this (depending on which browser you are using):

Open that and it will begin downloading the Client:

You will then get one of two messages:

A message that says run:

Or a message that says "your Java security settings are too high for this program to run" or something of those sorts. For this refer to this https://www.java.com/en/download/help/jcp_security.xml

Once you hit run give the game a second to come up and you should get the log-in screen:

If this dosnt help maybe someone else can try to find out whats wrong.

Hmm. Well you can alternatively use Lat's Client and see if that works. If not idk what to tell you.

I (sadly) have windows 10 as well and it runs w/o problems.

Does it at least show the java launcher when you open the salem updater?
If this is the case maybe a reinstall after clearing your cache can help. Also if you're using custom client and java do the loading thing but doesnt open salem it needs permission in java config. If the java is not even launching maybe something is blocking it from running. If all else fails, buy a new pc just for salem, gl
