I advise you to put those "skills" in the shortcut bar.
Like, dig, mine, carry, Run, forage, ...
You will use all those one very often, and it's very convenient to have them in shortcut. (Then, either you click on them or use keyboard)

You can just type v->l for lift and similar two-letter shortcuts for all of the other adventure options.
