wall cracks

Hello I have several questions about mining

I bought pickaxe yesterday
I started as tips in the game
I have built 5 or 7 pile of wood and to burn black hard wall After an 1.5hour or two hours
that hard Wall melted

others type of walls silver cooper did not melted or cracked ...
Ive gone for seven hours and get enter and nothing happens supposed to crack all types of walls ?

I said perhaps that wall cracks
so I started mining but I can not he stop after reach 30% of mining
Because of all the walls hard

so I do not know what's going on

Only black wall needs to be "cracked by flames" others you should be able to mine out without using fire first. If you cant mine a wall it wouldn't even let you start. No idea why would it stop at 30% maybe you didn't have enough phlegm to mine it out.

Now, that would be a good place to state again, what the basic phlegm cost per mined tile is!

For a steel pickaxe it is 10 phlegm iirc, so I assume its 20 for a normal pickaxe, is that right? (sorry can't test now)

Only build piles of wood for black walls everything else you can mine fine and your mining stopped because you don't have enough phlegm

Also reduce your madness to 0 or your pickaxe can break

exactly my phlegm to mine is not enough to mine reach to 30% to dig and stop
and I use normal pickaxe

get your phlegm up
you'll need 10 phlegm to mine out a tile with a normal pickaxe, so you'll want at least 11, just so you don't ko just by holding it.
early on acorns, virginia snails, squirrels and rabbits are easy to get and great for phlegm, especially if you use them in recipes as "any" ingredient of their group.

might also wanna think about a mining set, +mining reduces the phlegm used when mining out tiles.

Did I mean that I can raise my phlegm
like recipes eating food
or raise phlegm by some skills ?

yes, craft yourself some food and click the forks below your humour bars like you did in the tutorial, then eat the food.
with the mining set I meant that you can craft clothes and slot artifacts in them that give +mining

also note, I believe you can also mine with a (wooden) shovel, but that it just takes a ***** of phlegm (40 phlegm iirc?). that was a long time ago though, so I'm not sure that is still the case.

In any case, getting a better tool (metal < blistersteel) will decrease the phlegm requirements.

Nah, now you need a pickaxe. Gotta buy one for silver from NPC or get from other players
