Sets a bad precedent that... I'm forced to disagree.

Unless it's something without any kind of intrinsic value, and is just a way to show you were a victim of the terrible batpocalypse of Providence.

Like a neck slot item that looks like a bat attached to your neck. XD

How did people die from this? The bats wouldn't agro. I tried to log on and off a couple times in the mix of stuff happening and never got a single one on me or even attacked. I was not even that worried about it despite the fact I had 2 gold bars on me at the time... When big bat shows in town you do not try to attack it... Remember that guy who did that on Popham during a blood moon. It is a no-no..

BTW when I was able to get back on there were like 5 turkey poults walking around in town at like a 10% purity. I took that as a reward for down time as I believe they may have been bats before they were turkeys. Ah evolution such a lovely thing to see in motion.

[Is that one guy] Q_Q Just don't do it. However, keep in mind that if someone ELSE aggros them they will AoE shout, and i'm not sure if that does or doesn't aggro.

You have had ample opportunity to read/learn that this game is permadeath, you can and will lose items. If you spent money on the store and lost it to a bug you will more than likely get your store bought stuff back.

I just came from Prov. I did see a small bat and a much bigger bat. I didn't get agro and I didn't see anyone else being attacked. I got the hell out of there just in case!

They nearly covered my minimap about an hour ago so I logged off and went to lunch. Guess I'll go see if they're gone yet.
