You may have to travel to the outposts (Limer's Front and Isle of Nod) to get access to all the Wagon travel NPC's, it's not just the three in Providence.

Do the different colours on the map on the official screenshot reflect darkness in any way? Or is that just artistic freedom? As there are "darker spots" relatively close to boston already, yet i had to travel down to that indian village landmark to get the notification about bile drain. And right now i am walking around and have no real clue where darkness begins or ends.

Maybe to simplify it, as long as i see rats instead of squirrels i am in the dark? And as soon as I see squirrels instead of rat packs i am back in the light?

Either you're using a custom client and you can figure out how to remove their brightness filter to see the actual brightness of the area around you, or use the darkness tool ( Ctrl+D). Or you're using a default client and the area will in fact get darker.

I am using latikai and have clicked ctrl-n few times which seems to change the sun-shining direction, i dont know which was the default tbh, clicking randomly makes it brighter and darker.
If I use ctrl-d I get "darkness" popup with angle, elevation, colour and b.
What is b? Am I supposed to use the colour numbers to figure out how deep into the void i got?

b is the brightness, but you want to look at elevation. Darkness starts when the elevation goes below 56 degrees. Past that point the lower it gets the deeper you are and the worse stuff will spawn.

Is there any estimate to the proportion between that elevation value and bile numbers to prevent any drain?
(my biles are around 25 and i suffer 0,1 drain to every bile per minute at 56, that´d be my best shot atm, but i guess if i had 50 biles i would not suffer any drain at 56, but only at <55?)

Wut.
The elevation angle is just a number. The drain is constant for each non-witch. Your humours don't matter, however high they are, if you wait long enough - you KO to darkness drain.

The wiki suggests that you resist bile drain by having higher stats. So its only resist but no immunity?

"The weakest of explorers will see drain in areas with only a visible gloominess. The further into the Darkness this character moves, the more extreme the humour drain, and the higher their humour cap will have to be to resist it."

Hmm, maybe it is true. There are no concrete numbers though, that's why I can't really start to digest that info. You gotta test if for yourself.
