I made a fishing trap put some bait inside as per the wiki and dropped it in water. How long do you have to wait to get anything lol? It's been a while just standing here. I do put bait inside trap correct?

The wiki dosnt say anything about the time it takes but I would guess it ticks once every 15-30min. So maybe leave it there for a few hours and check back.

be sure to put the fishing trap in the deep part of the water.

Try using meat shreds, or even slices for better results. Many cheaper items can be used if you have several traps with patience thouth.
