If you're very concerned about the 'getting stuck', let me see if I can explain it. You may feel like you're getting trolled right now by more experienced players, but you're not. There really are very good reasons for this mechanic. Think if this was your home; do you want some newbie to be able to just wander on, steal stuff, and leave again easily? No, you want dire consequences. You have very low humors and other abilities so it's easy for you to pass out on a claim. However, most players who choose to commit crimes will be more advanced than you. The risk of passing out on a claim, being there for several hours, and possibly being found by the claim owner and killed, crippled, or looted, is something that will deter some of the people who would otherwise have robbed you blind. That's one reason why you 'get stuck' of you pass out with a crime debuff. The other reason is part of the mechanic that makes it take longer for criminals to rob you blind. The Crime debuff, which holds you online and unable to regen, takes forever to fall away if you remain near the claim, but falls off much more quickly if you run some distance away. This means that anyone who wants to take more than a handful of your items must run far away and all the way back again several times. This is another deterrent for YOUR benefit because otherwise, bigger players would have a much easier time robbing newbies like yourself who have very little in the way of claim defenses.
People here have told you you will lose a lot of characters if you want to be a criminal. It's very true. And maybe you want to give this one up for lost and start a new one now. Or maybe you want to keep it, but I still suggest you start a new one. When you make a mistake with one and lose all your inspiration pool or are lying on a claim for hours, you can play the other one. When your crimes finally catch up with you and one of your characters dies, you have another already fairly advanced. All criminals like to play multiple characters and you might want to to.
