Shovel cannot mine and how to get Granite Boulder

I'm new here and I have some problem since yesterday.

Since yesterday, I cannot use my shovel to mine the ore anymore, what happen do you patch something?
and also how to get the Granite Boulder?

I already have Granite Excavation and trying to dig the Granite Boulder from where I dag Stone Boulder but I only get Stone Boulder (around 30 times).
Is it just bad luck or I do it wrong?

yes. as far as i know using shovel to mine was removed yesterday.
