How do i get Sea Island Cloth im only getting yellow cotton :(

You need to raise the first (red) and second (green) bar on one of your fields to atleast a combined 150 influence by planting cabbage (for the red bar) and cereal/corn (for the green bar). After that, plant cotton and you'll get Sea Island cotton.

do you have to do it on this order because i planted cotton there first

It doesn't mess up the rotation, you will have just lost the time it takes for this normal cotton to mature. The bars increase based on how much you add influence-enhancing fertilizer. It increases by a base value of 5 points, and the % bonus influence thing tells you what the actual increase will be when the crop is harvestable. 200% influence is double the base 5, so will be 10 points. Every time a crop matures all bars except the one the current crop raises will go down by 5 as well, so the goal is to raise them faster than they drop.
