Number of fields

Hello, how many fields should I plant being a solo farmer?
I'm starting with Cabbage and I was thinking of planting 8 fields (2 for colewort, 2 for white cabbage, 2 for green cabbage and 2 for red cabbage). Is that good?

I'd base the crops you're going to grow on the food you'll be wanting to glutton, really. Maybe you could make a list with easy to make foods - variable foods ideally - and start from there.
