To kill a ... Mockingbird :D

So, i started salem 2 days ago. I've been doing just a bit of everything and i realised i had to build a pilgrim's hovel quickly the moment a cougar spawned by my lean-to and mauled me 4 times, losing everything i found that day. (bye bye pearls and etherfangs) ...I wanted some advice on how i should go about killing a beaver to get some brain. Havent been getting any from rabbits and i cant dry any leather. (Although some good may have come of the cougar mauling) see it killed a deer right after it killed me and i got a brain from the deer... But anywho, would someone liek to explain to me how i can kill a beaver, what "stats" do i need? i currently have "clubbing" and 60 in each bile. along with crab claws in each piece of gear

You have way more then enough humors to kill a beaver.
