So i haven't played in a several months because my main computer was down while i converted it to water cooled and i've just logged in [8:30 PM 4/5/2015 (UTC-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada)] and a bunch of things are missing from my character. It says at "Salemthegame.com/portal/profile" that the last time i logged in was yesterday "2015-04-06 01:38 UTC"
I was told and read that a lot of people KillOnSight and if i ever saw anyone to Alt+F4 out being a low level noob. So, i assumed when i left playing frequently that my items would be safe on character...? I thought i read something in the wiki about Criminal Acts and the ability to rob offline characters. And honestly if that was the case it would in a good idea to explain what had happened to that character While u were offline, In the way Stat or inventory change. Instead of being at a complete loss and Lack of Understanding.
So, i'm not sure if someone has been logging into my account [Considering the weridos i met when i Was playing. Logging in.. taking my things.. and alt+f4ing out (which is gay -_-)] or i did something wrong and lost my junk. i literally filled my inventory with Indian Charm Necklaces walking down on the map (Leaving my shady neighbors behind) before i realized the darkness only begins walking west when i left the game back in December of 2014. When i logged out i was taking unClamed or abandoned LeanTo's along the southern coast to go back to Town and sell. I had something like 1k worth of things
I'm looking for a way to Contact an admin and understand what happened to me but not finding how in game or in forums... i would think they offer some kind of contact ability?

You can lose items when you are offline.

Not true. You can reach darkness in any direction from Providence. The light has a circular radius.

And if you need support for in-game questions, this is the best place to ask, but you can also PM anyone with a pink name if you think you need dev help.

First of all, you can teleport to providence from your leanto so long as you aren't carrying too much.

My recommendation would be to use your teleport and set up a leanto, then work on getting a writ of homesteading

i totally dig this Thanksgiving, Autumn, Halloween Atmosphere and the crafting in this game is better anything ive known in other games. Ive been playing APB Reloaded where u can basically paint anything you own.

@Johncarver - "You can lose items when you are offline."
You know... i don't want to be rude but, when it comes to problem solving don't u think it would be better to provide supporting information Like they can roll ur LeanTo. How am i supposed to know this when i'm playing. Where it obviously failed me. Its a lot of wasted time and effort and hard way to learn. Also there weren't items In the LeanTo i wasn't Around it and what was my character supposed to be doing hibernating? Lets say hypothetically that i bought the 500 of silver or w.e and items that i Was carrying. You can tell ur customers tough tits but they sure as **** wont be back.

@TotalyMeow - "Not true. You can reach darkness in any direction from Providence. The light has a circular radius."
Hm. HMMM... That's interesting lol. When i last played and left my original area i Teleported to Town and started walking straight down following the Coast. i went for several Hours expecting to run into "The Darkness" Ive probably gone south for about 6 hours. i was questioning if i was Actually going anywhere and my LeanTo Icons had fliped from top to bottom so it seemed like the North and south were mirrored like a globe or something. I did look into the map finding a thread talking the map size which gave me my apparently Misinterpretation. How freaking far is "The Darkness" lol. 6hours is a long time to do nothing but open logs and stuff >.< I've been running and picking Berrys and Acorns btw.

@riotman - "First of all, you can teleport to providence from your leanto so long as you aren't carrying too much."
i understood this after a few days of playing. I was more interested in building stuff than buying stuff at an early point. And yeah it was slightly confusing to figure out how to get to town and where and what to sell. =\

"My recommendation would be to use your teleport and set up a leanto, then work on getting a writ of homesteading"
i read a Nub Guide or something and he talked about Teleporting to Town and walking in any Direction until you don't see LeanTo's for awhile Or for 2 hours Or until it just starts getting into the Darkness. It was a old Thread i think... this is what im doing but, theres still lots of LeanTo's 6hours south of Town. Guess its cause its Beach Front Property lol.

It says "Free loot, free pvp" At the end of the tutorial, if you are playing for more than a day without buying a claimstone it's because you lack some research skils.
Okay, you mentioned store bought items, take a look at the red letters, please "Warning: Salem features permanent death and an open loot system, which means that any items bought here might be lost in game." You have to make sure your base is capable of defending store bought items before you buy anything with rl cash.

Also, enjoy the raid, don't complain, it's a journey of discovery and nothing will be at your disposal at first, that's the purpose of this game ;)
this is the wiki http://www.salem-wiki.com/
Buy a writ of homesteading and start your settlement, which won't be the first one you build but at least you will be safe from most thieves once you build some walls.
This forum is your support forum because as you can see devs help you here too.

There is no darkness at the north edge actually, not if you go strictly north from providence atleast.

Only because the map isn't big enough. The point is, civilization expands in a circle from Providence. Anyone walking Away from Providence in Any direction is going towards darkness. Whether you get there before you run into a server wall is a different matter.

Just for the record, that's not terribly good advise, as there are quite a few conditions under which your character doesn't log out even if you kill the client. Using the "log out" button in the Options window is a better idea in that, as long as it doesn't refuse you to log out due to some such condition, you can also be sure that your character is no longer in-game.
