Pumpkins and speed

Postby Procne » Tue Mar 24, 2015 9:06 pm

I remember in the past there was this myth people kept repeating, that increasing speed on fields does not affect pumpkins after they reach 1st harvest stage. It's not true, fields with over 400% speed matured from first to third harvestable stage within less than a day.

My whole life was a lie but now I begin a new one in truth.

I do pumpkins with 300% speed, S3 pumpkins after 3 days.

not quite, pumpkins at 100% speed only take 8 days, not nine.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

I think the OP refers to the fact that you used to not be able to add fertilizer after first growth stage leaving you unable to CHANGE the speed. Somehow this was interpreted as "Speed has no effect" after first growth.

No I refer to the rumor (or maybe it used to be a fact) stating that increased speed does not matter after pumpkins reach first harvestable stage, and reaching seconds, andthen third harvestable stage would always take as much time, nomatter how much speed fertilizer has been dumped on the field.

I don't see how that was a rumour as anyone testing it could disprove it within a week.
