stone chipping

During my periods of stone chipping to obtain rubble i see numbers appear during each aquisition, ie +4, +1, +8.

Can anyone let me know what these numbers pertain to please, is there an exprience element due to be intrduced which is connected to action rather than inspiration?

it shows hardness of rubble. wtc +4 means you get 96 hardness rubble, from that you have change to get 96 hardness gem, and hardness eventually comes to play when trying to cut the gem into shape.

hardness is like difficulty to obtain goldflakes or gems from the rubble

it is determained by your m&m skill.

Absolutely untrue. Hardness is the chance gems won't break while cutting them. M&Ms also maybe adds another bonus to chance of cutting (the crafter's M&M).

But rubble hardness is transfered to gem hardness, and does not affect anything else.
