About as much sympathy you get when the cops show up at a house you tripped an alarm in trying to get back your ATV from the "buddy" you loaned it to. Unfortunately, Salem doesn't have a court system to file a claim of ownership, repossession paperwork, etc in that would make that B&E and theft of property legal (even if not entirely safe).

The only mistake I see is the fact that he came to the forum and told what happened to him. Vampires lust for blood and get it but in the end they usually get a steak the the heart.
