Lighting a fire bug

When I light my fire the icons become blank on the right corner. I tried one suggestion to turn of shadow rendering, but that didn't help. So I am wondering if there are mods for extra video options for salem or do I need to change my color setting for my pc. Please help! wanna play this game, but this is annoying.

Part-fix is to get into a praty with someone.

On custom client I seem to not to have that bug.

On ender's client that bug isn't there, but on original it is, also how come there isn't a option to build a pile of wood in edner's client?

pile of wood now resides with Mining. Again, not a bug of Ender's client ...
