Did I not get that in the wiki? You can plan your estate with an NPC in town for silver and get back 30% of your humors and proficiencies that you had when you did the planning if you happen to die. So, you descendant gets a jump start in life. You get 40% if you didn't get scalped. Or so the original patch notes said. I've heard people say it's been changed to 70% or some really high number.

Anyway, you buy a last will and use that, your estate is permanently planned and you never have to pay the silver. When you die, you get back the max amount for your circumstances, whatever that is now.

I think another difference is, When you buy the Last Will from the vendor for silver, it takes the stats you have right then and there, and those are the stats used for your heir. However, with the store bought one, it covers you for the full stats of your character when you die. So basically, You have continuously update the vendor bought one as you gain more stats and professions, whereas the store one you do not.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but that is how I interpreted the patch notes on this.

ah thanks, indeed the store says this

The Last Will and Testament insures that your heirs will know full-well of your exploits up until your final breath without having the need to keep up-to-date with the Estate Planner.

It is now a 10% bonus for suicide on top of what you would normally earn.
