Can't log in ! Occupied !

I searched for a good place and a friend joined me. He made a new character, and used the telepor function via the wilderness guide. He entered my secret and went there. Then i wanted to come online and i cannot cuz he occupied the place with his leanto i guess. He cannot even get close to it 'cuz he cannot enter the AoE protection of my Claim stone. I told him to make a new lean-to and make it homestead, is this gonna work ? what should i do. I am afraid to press YES and log in as it says "restart at your homestead". But the homestead is the claim stone that is occupied, so i am kinda confused. Any ideas ?

The stone itself can not be occupied, so you'll log in on it just fine. Then just give all the permissions to your friend, let him build another leanto and destroy the old one to be able to pick your stuff.
