Need to find a base

Postby nico54k9 » Sun Oct 26, 2014 2:12 am

Hi everyone,
Some of you may know me as i have been playing this game on and off for over a year. I am trying to get back into this game but the sheer lack of people is making it very difficult.

Due to my career in the Australian defence force, i am limited to the time i have available to play this game. That being said i have been wondering for a couple of days now trying to find a darn abandoned base to squat in, preferably one with a smelter or two. My character is still fairly new and i need an abandoned base with some facilities to speed up my character growth so i can actually enjoy this game.

Now you understand my situation, i would like to ask if anyone has a map (or map files), or knows where to find one so i can see some abandoned structures to walk to and squat in. This would save me a couple months of time.
Would rather not get a pm of a single base with directions to it, as that is a pretty stupid idea of a trap. Also since i don't know anyone in this game any more, i don't trust anyone so am fairly reluctant to join someone's current base (as that has lead to my death 60% of the time).

-EDIT-
If you are a legitimately trustworthy player/group of players who are questioning whether or not to invite me to your stronghold, i can only tell you this.
My character is weak enough to cause no harm to anyone, but it is not strong enough to justify the worthiness of killing.
My career in the army should say something about my personal integrity and trustworthiness.
I am young and like to have fun, but i am not stupid and needy/greedy.

Thank you in advance :)

Theres a decent sized base North West of Providence, over the great wall. I'd say roughly 15 tiles north and then 10 tiles west, sorry I can't be more specific than that. You'll be able to see it on the map when you get close.
