I need to know if there is anyway that you can get rid of old leantos taking up space in the land?

If they are unoccupied, you can just destroy them. (push v, then y, then click the leanto)

If they are occupied but on your pclaim, you can go ahead and destroy them.

If they are occupied and not on your pclaim, you will need the waste skill to destroy them and it will leave scents. You could also pclaim over them and destroy them without leaving scents.
