It is possible, but you need to get the Shrub Orchards skill to grow any shrub in a pot.

I interpreted the original post as asking if those flowers specifically could be grown. Not if they could be planted.
For clarity, you can plant the flowers to get thornbushes, but you cannot grow more flowers. (You can only get those from thorn bushes, rarely.)
