No darkness and invisible wall?

Postby porcobuddha » Tue Jul 22, 2014 8:45 pm

So I went all the way north starting from boston. I eventually reached an invisible wall and couldn't go any further. Also no darkness there.
I'm assuming there is no darkness on south of boston too.
Only west then... am I right?

The map is not a perfect rectangle at the moment which can make projecting darkness a tad difficult.

So the distance i travel from Boston doesn't matter if I'm going north or south... I have to go west

The northwest corner is farther from boston than the straight north wall.

Another question: is there a command to check the in which darkness level I am in?

ctrl-d turns on the darkness meter. I believe 62.75 is not darkness, once it starts to go down you've hit darkness. the lower the number, the further into darkness and the higher the drain. I think.

That basically is it. The further you travel into it the higher the drain becomes. It is however minor in how it increases.

also, when in darkness you screen will grow darker (who could have guessed?).
Not very much at the start, but it can get pretty dark if you get further in (or at least it could in the old servers).
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
