also if you're foraging either way you'd be walking exactly as slow as dragging a sled. The main issue with that playstyle is that your expanded inventory is vulnerable when logged out.

AH good point that I forgot to mention, be sure to put those 2 containers in your leanto before logging out. If you bring 2 hay with you at all times while wandering, a leanto can be built very quickly almost anywhere.

Yeah I figured it out this morning. been wasting 15 mins just to decide which items to keep on my char. I logged out by putting my sled in the bottom of a weird terrain formation so it's hard to click, also I always avoid those formation so I hope people won't look into them.
I see the problem with this nomad life style is to keep all the things that you've found. The wealth of the land is so tempting!
EDIT: was killed by a turkey right after I trade some silvers for a backpack. A turkey. I found him stuck in a pile of wood and tried to free him by a hit, then he turned mad and chased me until I'm dead.
I lost everything. It was sad. I mean... I thought my first death will be by other players...

Turkeys can't kill you just KO you, only players can kill you.

Assuming your leanto is close by, you can run back to where you got KOed and get your stuff. It will stay a few minutes. I'm not sure how long different items last on the ground, but if you want to recover them you definitely need to hurry next time. Also, your sled and containers will still be there assuming they weren't taken. Be warned that all animals will defend themselves if attacked, and bears and snakes will sometimes decide to attack first, so keep your distance. Ender client and Latikai client both help with seeing animals on the minimap.
